Art on the Underground

Art on the Underground commissioned British Ghanaian artist Larry Achiampong to re-imagine London Underground’s iconic roundel, for Westminster Underground station as part of the artist’s on-going multi-disciplinary and multi-site project ‘Relic Traveller’.

The commission seeks to consider the possibilities of alternate histories and forms part of Art on the Underground’s 2019 programme which looks at the role artists can play in forming ideas of togetherness and belonging.

We spent time with Larry to hear about the commission, his relationship with London and his artworks.
